Fun in the sun - FFFC #140

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Yes, it is already Friday and it is time for a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenges. The theme for this fortnight, "Fun in the Sun". This new challenge is hosted by the talented Nikki and it is sponsored by one of my favorite stores, Magnolia-licious.

My card for this challenge is a very special one, first, because I created it for my nephew's twin girls birthday. These two little girls have stolen my heart and as you can see, they really like to have fun in the sun.

The card is also special, because this will be my last challenge with the Fussy and Fancy team, this has been a difficult decision because this team is like a family. Sheryl and all the DTs are so lovely and supportive that it is really hard to leave, but life has become so complicated that it is very hard for me to make some time for crafting. To Sheryl and all the Fussy and Fancy ladies, thanks for all your support and for being part of this memorable time of my life...memorable and happy!

Lets take a look at my card.

Happy Birthday, Hun!

Hi everyone! The weather is very beautiful here today so I want to take a moment to share the card I made for my husband's birthday. I used a fun digital image from Meljen's Design that I colored with my copic markers.

Inside the card, I folded a piece of cream cardstock and positioned the fold of the paper below the top cutting edge of the die cut so as to leave part of the fold uncut. That way it opens up like a page. I cut another piece of cream cardstock (with the same size die cut) and printed the sentiment on that one. Afterwards, I glued it over the previous folded double page making it possible for me to write my own loving words to him hidden right under the sentiment. He was surprised when he thought I forgot to sign it and I told him: "Look under it", he he! I hope you like it. Have a nice week!

Tender Loving Couple

February, the month when we celebrate love and friendship. We see pink and red all around us: at stores, pharmacies, and even supermarkets. And ohh, the lovely flowers!!! But wait, there's more: chocolates, chocolates, chocolates everywhere. Like we didn't have enough with all the beautiful sweets during the holidays, right? Oh, well. You only live once until Easter gets here, right? He he, I guess I'm in a sweet kind of mood and got distracted by sugar. On to my project.

This card was requested by a co-worker for his wife. The design was a collaboration of my ideas, but I brought the materials and provided him with the options in the final product. He got very involved and enjoyed it, and his wife absolutely loves the card!
